Re: Rotary Q2's

I'd like to call your bluff on this one.

Mike C, as you are purporting to be knowledgeable on Rotary engines (I'm
not) please educate us by supplying the data you have that supports your
statement that a rotary SPF is lower than a comparable HP air cooled piston
engine at 75% power settings. Data from an engine manufacturer that is not
backed up by an independent source is not applicable as engine manufacturers
are known to lie like dogs. Please don't consider this as an attack on
you, this is just a very specific question asking for more info on a
statement you made. I stopped looking at rotary engines when I read that
the SPF was terrible, would love to find out that they have been improved.

Consumption on a rotary is actually lower at cruise power settings as
the mixture can be run leaner than an air cooled engine. Mike C.

I understand there is no rotary that has comparable Specific Fuel
Consumption to a piston engine and at $3 per gallon now I think it's
rather
important.

Hi and happy new year to all ,
has anyone heard of any
rotary
powered
Q2's in circulation ? Rotaries are better than piston in every aspect
!!!
A turbocharged rotary Q2 is the pinnacle of the light aircaft world .
Has anyone heard of rotating valves for piston engines ?
