Anyone here read German? If so, is the word "vertical" in the English
translation below a correct interpretation of the meaning of the original
German text?



5.3 Bei Propellern ohne Paßzapfen oder Indexsenkungen, Zündkerze

des dem Propeller am nächsten liegenden Zylinders entfernen und

Kurbelwelle drehen bis OT erreicht ist.

5.4 In dieser Stellung (gilt nur für 2-Blatt) Propeller mit den Blättern

senkrecht auf das Triebwerk stecken und Flanschbolzen bzw.

Stoppmuttern über Kreuz anziehen. U-Scheiben nicht vergessen.

Bei 3-Blatt und 4-Blatt Propellern ist, falls nicht anderweitig
vorgeschrieben,

keine besondere Stellung der Blätter zur Kurbelwelle erforderlich.

Paarweise mit 0,8 mm Draht sichern.



5.3 Propellers without index pins or drive bushing bores: remove the

spark plug from the cylinder nearest to the propeller and turn the

crankshaft until TDC is reached.

5.4 Install the propeller (applicable for 2-blade models, only) in this

crankshaft position with the blades in the most vertical direction.

Torque flange bolts or stop nuts crosswise two by two. Do not

forget the washers. Safety wire in pairs with 0.032" stainless steel.

The position of 3- or 4-blade propellers relative to the crankshaft is

not as critical, unless specifically required.
