Not to confuse, but just FYI. The wing tanks in Pulsars are done that way. They used two layers of 1.7 oz. fiberglass cloth. They then get two coats of the thick black 2 part mix tank sealant. Sounds like overkill, but no problems with mine after over seven years. I use auto and av gas.
