The FOD was planned for central availibility and it still works well... 15+ years BUT being different once in a coons age is worth a try. The location wasn't the problem (judging from the aborts) but the weather WAS. The west coast boys stepped up for several successful years at Livermore but until Dugas no one on the eastern shores has raised their hand to host

I think the original FOD was conceptually centrally located for maximum availability. Bad news at OGD hostile airport manager and the TSA has moved in impacting access and events.
