Re: Q-200 Touch-down speed.

I had a nose gear collapse on a Tri-Q while taxiing on a turf runway at a fly-in.  Hit a small gopher hole.

I fly a TriQ-200 and have landed at the grass strip at Leeward Air Ranch in Ocala, FL several times.  Granted, it is a wide, 6000'+ runway that is well groomed.  Had no problems either landing or taking off.  Because it is at sea level, I actually broke ground in less time than I do at my home drome at 2200'msl.  Just make sure the grass is cut.

Wow...I was thinking that mine was already kinda "hot" with approach speed of 75ish...MPH (with bellyflap). Didnt realize that  I should have been expressing gratitude. So has anyone some insights grass field operations? One of the places where I am considering keeping my bird in the future is a well-manicured turf strip in South Florida (Richard's Field).
