If you use vacuum bagging, or better vacuum infusion (VI), you can be sure of the wetting out. This also results in a lighter part. VI will drop the epoxy/glass ratio down to about 40% vs 100%+ for safely saturated hand layup. The lighter part is also stronger. Harbor Freight regularly has an acceptable vacuum pump on sale for as little as $80.

It will work fine but you’ll find that it’s really hard to tell if the cloth is fully wetted out. You might want to vacuum bag your parts. Bounds

Does anyone have experience using ez-poxy with carbon fiber? Does it work okay or does anyone recommend another epoxy for it? It'll be used on a cowling, intake plenum and fairings.
