Would you believe I started May 30, 1982?  That’s 36 years; sorry still hold the title.

You will need to beat me for the longest build. I am closing in on finishing in the next month or so, but I am into my 34th year on this project.

Cheers,

Jay Scheevel, Tri-Q, still building…but not for long!

Still working on longest build time for Q-200 S/N 2710 (family keeps getting in the way); that being said I’ve had an experience with the Nylaflo tubing which I need to impart to the group.  A couple of years ago I needed some tubing that had been in my stock for 20+ years.  I pulled it down off the shelf and when I tried to uncoil it, IT SHATTERED LIKE GLASS TUBING!!  Evidently age does not treat it kindly as any suttle bending of it caused more shattering.  I believe it should be replaced at least every ~10 years to preclude failure.
