One must remember that 2200 feet per minute is the average to 9900 feet, not sea level performance. With normally aspirated engines, that would necessitate a 3260 foot sea level rate of climb, a 1.4872 factor derived from my 172N manual Rate of Climb table, average to 10,000 feet at 0 degrees Celsius. Way better than a 172.
