 Excellent piloting Mike!  Looks like you had her lined up for near perfect for a smooth trip off the grass 
but alas..pesky wires!!  The news folks were frothing at the mouth as usual.. but your right!  Valuable lesson 
everyone can see is the Q is a tuff critter. I highly doubt a span can would have had the same outcome given 
the condition. 
 
 It'll be interesting to learn the cause of the oil pressure drop.

Yup, lost oil pressure and engine quit just a bit too soon.  Didn't quite make the airport.  The Q is one tough bird.  Not a scratch on me but plane is totaled.  More to follow.
