Re: [Quickie-1] Tail wheel support - steel/foam

Eugen,
I was talking with Boddicker about your pictures. Looking at the picture of your wing it appears you do not have the shear web glassed in.  From the picture of the end of the wing it appears the foam is one piece from the leading edge to the trailing edge.

As I recall the plans have this as two pieces.  The front "half" is glassed top and bottom with the glass extending all the way to the bottom of the rear side.  Then you glass the other side and do the same thing.  This establishes the shear web before you attach the trailing edge on the outboard portion and the aileron slot cores inboard.

Can someone else take a look and tell me if I'm totally missing something?  In it's current configuration this wing looks significantly weaker.

I'd hate to have this wing fold in flight!

Hello Q-Community,

What type of material is used for the tail wheel support? It’s a rod of 1.4310 (x10CrNi18-8) in US 301 (UNS S30100)?

Which wheel diameter on the tail wheel would you recommend? A source of supply in the best case available?

Just some picture from main wing, ready to fix the ailerons and cut the final dimension.
