I wonder if the slight formula change by Aeropoxy made any difference, but this was years ago now. I think my best data point is the fact that the tech rep from PTM&W said no to all fuels. He said you can splash it with gas but definitely not leave it submerged.

From my pics it is easy to see the yellowing and discoloration after just a short time. Also, now that I am taking this apart, the sump screen that I had attached with flox, wet, just popped right off with very little effort.

Now if I had properly wetted out the fuselage shell and sealed the pinholes, I probably wouldn’t have learned all this. It might have taken years, who knows.

But I will say with what I know now, everything that used AeroPoxy and has touched fuel is getting replaced on my plane. All rework will be done with EZ poxy.

Having said all that, it doesn't help you, but, one thing I can think of is sometimes with Aeropxy if it doesn't get hot enough it stays sticky and won't cure well. I often bump up the temps with a blanket and hair dryer to set it off.
