Robert, your panel is similar in concept to mine except I carved out as much space possible for knee room. You may want to sit in it again with pedals in place before finalizing your panel. The higher knee clearance makes it a lot easier to get in and out too. I had to bond on several aluminum angle stiffeners (0.032 Al) on the back so the panel was stiff and comfortable to use.
