First Flight Complete
Martin Skiby
N33QR took to the sky last evening at about 6:15PM. Perfect take off and climb out to 2500 feet. My son was at the controls and handled her with ease. No issues found, and was able to trim the plane out on the first flight. It has a GU canard and an 0200 so was a different feel than out TriQ obviously. He made a short flight with a couple laps around the airport then a perfect landing. So one more in the AIR team. Thanks to all for the advise and help with the W&B. More testing to come and will report.

Fuel pump configuration
Good afternoon group,
I have a Q2 with a gravity fed Revmaster 2100D carburetor.... Does anyone have the same configuration and can you suggest another fuel pump between the header tank and the carb? Where do you have it mounted? I'm looking for suggestion/ideas. Thank you in advance, Adrian Rogers 163AR Sent from the ultimate iPhone

Harbor freight refunds (not a scam)
quickieaircraft
They laughed at me when I saved my Harbor Freight receipts. But the court system has now ruled HF's marketing a scam and we can get money back. http://www.classactionrebates.com/settlements/harbor-freight/ It's nice to actually save 20% at Harbor Freight this time. Best, Emron Tri Q200 ~20-ish hrs

Awfully odd to have a long magazine article with no author mentioned, but we old timers know who.

That explains why he took out the prop on landing. Mike.

Re: An early Q2 story
Upon a second reading of the article, I think this guy must have been working with Gary Legare on the original Q2 development. Still don't know the name though. He does make a little error in that he reports a 22 foot spread on the main gear. That would be a dragonfly, not a Q2.

Re: An early Q2 story
Jerry has effectively 2 degrees higher angle of attack on his main wing (relative to the canard) than you have, Bruce.
Once he gets his trimmed up for landing (appropriate reflexor), the majority of the surface area of his main wing is providing proportionately more lift and induced drag than your main wing is at the point where the canard finally reaches its pitch-buck AOA. Thus, your pitch-buck and landing speeds are higher. Plus, Jerry is a fighter pilot! :-) Cheers, Jay
