Re: Field Of Dreams 2019!
Bruce, Planning on making it this year with my new Q-bird, if all the planets align. I think you need some new photos from last year on the website, I sent some via your external e-mail. Cheers, Jay

Re: Flight report
The Zenith/Corvair folks had a rebuilder that mistakenly installed too large of jets in the MA3SPA and there was a recall of the carbs thus jetted in order to correct the very same issues you describe Mike.
You can easily research the issue on this Safety Alert here:
It could be possible that your carb may have been jetted in this same manner. The same consumption is correct for the 0-200 as up to the 3.3L Corvair. Your engines symptoms indicate this is the case. I would say that William would be more than willing to indicate
the revise jet size and from there you can verify what your SPA has installed now.

Q2 Project for Sale, Revmaster available also
Tristan Vincent-Philpot <trisvp@...>
I have a Q2 for sale - it has the LS1 canard. Previously flew (15+ yrs ago) with Revmaster engine but I bought her a couple of years ago minus FWF including Revmaster cowling. I purchased another Revmaster and prop to get her flying but I have too many other things going on so I have decided to sell.. Always stored in hangar.
$7,500 for the Q2, Revmaster cowling but minus rest of FWF. $2,500 for the Revmaster and prop. $9,500 for both. PM me for pictures, more details etc. Located in Las Vegas, NV. Thanks. Tristan

I know I’m late but get soft and buy them from speedway motors. Best price and shopping I have found. They last a really long time. I go through several pairs of tires before a pair of brakes and I abuse the hell out of my brakes.

Sell my Q2/200 that needs repair.
jtdickman
Alcon,
I’ve had a Q2/200 N72PJ that I need to get rid of. It had a fuel leak and will need repairs. I have all the foam and parts you would need. It’s a Q2 with the Q200 mods done. Built originally by an IA. It will need lots of love. Let me know if you are interested or know some one that wants a project. It’s currently setting on a trailer for about the past 9 years. Trailer included in the sale. Jeff

Before retiring from Velocity I did a lot of firberglass work. Repairing spars, no. Safer to build from new.

Re: Lots of questions.

I studied the plans and went ahead and sanded into the gouge that was in the picture. The unidirectional cloth is very thick in this area and as deep as I went the glass had a separation. I started feeling less and less confident in a repar right in the “spar” area. The more I thought about repairing that area the more I just felt like I should start over, so last night I cut the wings off….uhh. Man, it's so discouraging. My sand/repair/paint project is turning into a complete build. In fact I would bet that I'm not much farther ahead at this point than starting from an untouched kit. I've got this now, so Ill just keep grinding away on it. I guess that means I'm in the market for wings. Obviously I’m thinking in terms of the ls-1 variant, but let me know what you've got. I'm actually not completely opposed to building a new gu canard, so if nothing comes up I'll always have that option.

Sam’s friend C Rod is a carb guru. Maybe contact Sam about this. I think C Rod used to monitor the list. Not sure of his current status. I have a manual and other info here, but no scanner. New printer, no scanner. Let me know if you need any info reproduced. I can do it at work. Kevin
