It comes through as a link for me.  I just tested, clicked and it immediately opens.

Now I just need to free up my Saturday mornings so I can join one of these.

in the future, can we make the link as a hyperlink in blue? I can't highlight the link on my phone or tablet. So I have been using my P.C. I don't have a webcam for it, that's why no pic and audio from me. I used to have but gave away in our move. Tried to get one last night but they were sold out. Thanx for the presentation Dave. I hope to get a ride in it at Field of Dreams.

Re: Coughlin Brake Mount Drawings

Sam Hoskins

Gee, that must have been 15 years ago or more.  I'm sure I added the curve to save weight on the part. As far as the inside bracket, I don't really remember, but I do know that these parts are working very well for me. I'm not sure where I have the procedure documented, but an important item is to have the mounting plate parallel to the brake disc.  You do this by installing all the parts, then applying brake pressure.  This forces the mounting plate into alignment.  Then you stuff flox between the wheelpant and the mounting plate.  Worked great for the two systems I installed.

Sam,

Do you remember why you chose the external curves that you did on your version of the Coughlin brake mounts? I attempted to redraw your design in Fusion 360 but I didn't have all the dimensions I needed. Did you have to make your "Inside Bracket" smaller than the original Plate No. 1 for some reason?

For now, I went with the original version from Q-talk 27 but it's missing some of the radii dimensions as well. Cut to fit, I suppose. At any rate, I think my original copy has the 1/8 inch graph lines still on it...will update when I learn more.

Managed to export the Fusion 360 part to a DXF and successfully import the DXF into my laser cutter software...Progress!

I'm going to stick with the Q2 topic but I will get in touch with you soon for a personal canoe presentation, if that works for you.

We're going to want all 40 minutes and more for the Q2.

I fortunately got the chance to crawl all over and in this ship a few weeks back.
It is really really nice.

Even got to watch it do a couple of circuits in the pattern.

Join Dave, from Orange, MA as he shows us his beautiful Revmaster powered Q-2. To join the meeting, click on the link at the end of this message.

Please don't log in until 9:00 AM, Central Savings Time. Again, after Dave's 40 minute Q-Tour ends, we can re-enter the Zoom meeting for an open mic session.

Upcoming Q-Tours:
September: Jerry Marstall - Dual Control Tri-Q200
October:  Mike Dwyer - Q-200

The Q-Tour response has been great.  If you are interested in presenting your aircraft or would like to request seeing someone else's plane that you may been following, drop me a note at sam.hoskins@...

Nice compilation, Sam. On second view, I think I like Lynn French’s best because there is a big storm in the distance reminding us all why we have a hangar!
