Well said John. +/- (also known as tolerance) stacks up! The video serves as a reminder to everyone that we have to check dimensions on everything we assemble!

Re: FW: : Okay you "Engineers", etc. Explain this
Did you notice that at two points the film is discontinuous? Well, that not the answer. No video trickery is involved.
With 63 squares, each square is about 1.5% of the total surface area. This

The bad thing about the Q2 built in spar is that it ends a couple of feet before the wing tips and coincidentally is where it breaks on a hard landing...

Re: Newbie Questions
The good thing about the GU canard is that it is strong enough to not need the carbon fibre spar. Also I understand that the contamination issues can be solved by using VGs.

Re: Q-200 Aerodynamics Study
Jay,
Now you have let the cat out of the bag, you will not be able to be the fastest Tri Q with your neutral lifting main gear legs.
Regards,
Charlie

Re: Q-200 Aerodynamics Study
I am really amazed at the data you can extract from what seems to be meaningless information. That’s why I was a jock instead of an engineer.
Keep working on the Q.

Thanks Jerry, The videos you made with the camera beneath your vertical fin were VERY valuable to me. When I finish part 3, you will see how much I learned from your video, but basically you allowed

Re: Newbie Questions
Jerry,
Listen to Paul. I have never seen nicer glass work than on Paul's airplane. He pays special attention to detail, which is what gives me a fighting chance of beating him to the finish line!

Whoa! I’m going to have to delete some stuff in the old brain to have room for all of this. Like Paul F., I hope I can understand this. What a great endeavor. Your efforts are greatly

Sam, I can't seem to post on your site, so here goes. I think you gave up too much RPM (HP). If your torque curve is flat near 3,000 rpm, you will have given up a significant amount of hp by

Highest Speeds?
Just curious, what is the highest speed, a Quickie(Q1) has ever flown inlevel flight?
What HP, and Engine was used?
Also, what is the highest speed, a Q200 has ever flown in levelflight?
