Re: Building a Q1
Lapo,
1. There are no "design rights" but there is a copyright on the plans. There doesn't seem to be any interest in enforcing that copyright, however, as PDF copies are abundantly available. Good

Re: Composite Mold making & Drag reduction video links
Fluid Dynamic Drag shows up on eBay every so often. I've seen it as part of a .PDF bundle for less than the books but I can't vouch for it's authenticity or quality. I got Drag and Lift a while back

Re: Composite Mold making & Drag reduction video links
Thanks Kevin. It's a lot of material, but all good. I really enjoyed the Wheel pant design and fabrication.
The Q-2 wheel pants, as designed by QAC are very draggy and time spent improving them

Re: Composite Mold making & Drag reduction video links
These Mike Arnold movies are fantastic indeed.
I was blown away by his method of making thin
sandwich wing skin panels, starting with the
Rutan technique and then taking it one step
further.

Composite Mold making & Drag reduction video links
These are great videos for composite construction and aerodynamics to reduce drag. Have paper and pencil ready because you can get info throughout the videos.

Been there in the Lancair and the VariEze but not the electric Q1 (which is not yet flying, waiting on airworthiness inspection - anyone know a good DAR in SoCal?)
The surface is usually great. Good

Glad you made it there and back. I've made one trip to AVX in my Lancair and that was enough for me given the runway condition. Not sure what they're doing with the $25 landing fees but it isn't

Sam, I talked to Steve. Couple of reasons but primarily he upgraded his CNC machine and hasn't had any requests for Quickie cores. I understand he has been attempting to contact the quickheads folks

Brake Caliper Kits Hurst Airheart 175H
I am doing brakes and got this from the supplier for Hurst Airheart (Tolomatic) stating that my calipers are obsolete models 175H. Is anyone else still running this model? If so, then the replacement
