Re: Tires - Whatcha Got?
Sounds like you have your brake pad issue figured out. If not, I think I have the original Airheart brake pads, never used, from my Q-200 kit and I will see if I can locate them. Tri-Q kit came with

Great thanks. I will try the soft ones to maintain better performance when colder outside.

Re: Tires - Whatcha Got?
It really doesn’t matter whether you use soft or hard pads. Their cheap, get both types any try them. I don’t see s lot of difference in performance.

Hey Sam!
Airheart is the company I am speaking with and they are wanting to know which ones (hard or soft). I think I am going to with soft as it looks to resemble the pads on their now.

Looks like you've got larger tires than I do. I use the original 11x4.00-5 size tire inflated to 50 psi.

Corbin.
Forget the hard or soft pads, I think that's old old documentation. Simply get the Airheart pads from wherever you can find them. I think there is an Airhart manufacturer, maybe in Minnesota,?

Tires - Whatcha Got?
While working on brakes, it is a good time to replace my tires (500-5). Any suggestions for brand/model and ply rating? I think 4 ply is the most common on the Q200's but that's me just going off

Replacement Brake Pads - Hard or Soft Linings?
My brakes are Hurst Airheart 150 x 1 hydraulic caliper brakes and I am wanting to replace the pads. It looks like the parts diagram shows hard pads (linings) for soft pads and I was curious what most

Wow Allan, that's a very general statement that could get someone killed. One thing I never liked about the GU canard was that the Spar ended 4 feet from the end of the wing and back 20+ years ago I

Your plane had a RevMaster first. (Never ever flew that way).
Mark’s first venture into moisture/rain with GU was interesting. He was in front, we saw a large cloud ahead and headed for it. He

Hey Corbin,
Mark Summers built your plane here in Livermore. We built at the same time and I flew chase on his first flight. I also found the 0200 you now run. Mark is retired from Livermore Lab

Re: Lots of questions.
Remember there's nothing wrong with the GU canard that VGs won't fix. It is very strong and doesn't need the carbon spar.

Re: Lots of questions.
Hi Dustin,
I suggest you follow the advice of the voices you are hearing on this group that are suggesting to either fabricate or buy pre-built replacement wings. Basically, you cut the old ones off

Dustin..
I have quite a bit of the original orange foam from an unfinished Q kit I purchased back in 2000. I do not plan on using it since I purchased completed surfaces that I know are correctly

I’m pretty sure Jim Hamm’s plane was parted out a long time ago. Bob Farnam would know for sure.
