As far as I know, the 'exploding' mostly occurs
on carbon spar caps. They are conductive, but
with a high resistance / impedance. That heats up
the carbon, and makes the absorbed water boil
instantly.

Climb performance N8WQ follow-up
Gathered some slower speed data this morning. With full power I cannot hold steady airspeed below 75 mph IAS, or maybe I was just in some turbulent air, could really not tell.
