I know that Ray’s EZ was built 28 years ago, and to my knowledge, he had not replaced the lines since then.
Cheers,

For those who have experienced nylaflow failure, how long had the lines been in service?

Re: First air-to-air shots of N8WQ
Hi Mike,
Jim P can confirm whether I am correct or now, but I think that he (Jim) has had a failure in one of his nylaflow lines, and it was in the outer third of the wing, not close to the wheel.

I have had aluminum tubing and braided stainless steel Teflon from the beginning. No worries here.
I do understand that the Nyla flow is effected by heat ie being close to the brake

Re: First air-to-air shots of N8WQ
That raises a question. Has any Tail Dagger Q had a nylaflow failure? The nose wheel versions can really stand on the brakes so the Tri-Q might benifit from better brake line.

Thanks Jay,
I’ll let Ray know you’re thinking about him.
I plan on using AN2 S/S braided Teflon, 3,000 psi. Do you see any issues running AN2 full length from caliper to brake cylinders on

Look at the sandbar position on the strut and Jays tail position relative to the sandbar in the two photos. This is a flyby no formation here.
I took my Tri-Pacer to Copperstate two days ago great
