Re: Q2 to to Q200
Also, if using the GU, especially with the heavier engine, you will need to fit the canard with vortex generators to avoid contamination related lift degradation.
Cheers,

Yes what Richard said.
No need for an LS Canard. But there is a need to counter balance all control surfaces if not already done.

Re: Q2 to to Q200
1. New engine mounts
2. A modification to the firewall
3. A longer cowling
Some will argue that is you don't have the LS1 canard you need to have it but but that just isn't true.

New hard points for the O-200 mounted on the firewall or weld the current frame?

I like my braided hoses at the caliper interface, helps to provide a heat break and you get a sparkly look. :-)
From experiments on the old pipes when they were changed, it

Re: Brake tube failures
You can change from Nylon tube to Teflon tube without needing to use the braided tube. The end fittings can be the same or upgraded.

Replaced both sides at wheel pant only, I think. May have switched to s/s braided there.

Re: First air-to-air shots of N8WQ
Hey Jay, Jerry and Mike,
You can add Brad Olsen (Tom Moore’s Q originally)to that list. NF tubing failed in the wheel pant near the disc. He locked up the other brake and did a 360. No damage. Quick

Re: First air-to-air shots of N8WQ
Hi Mike and Rich,
We just discussed two cases of the nylaflow tubing failing. One was last week, Ray McCrea’s long EZ and the other was Jim Patillo’s Q200 a few years ago.
Cheers,
Jay

Re: First air-to-air shots of N8WQ
Hi Rich,
It doesn't sound like there have been any nylaflow tubing breaks.
I'm still running my 35 year old stuff with 1400 hours on it with no issues. I took a piece of the leftover 35 year old

Hi Guys,
So where have the pipe ruptures been just for interest.
Are they mainly are the caliper end due to heat ?
