I intend to complete the six pack, once I get the plane back to Michigan.

Re: How Much Cable Play between Rudder and Tailwheel in Q2?
Bruce is correct, you have to adjust the cable to the rudder with the tailwheel spring unloaded. If the cable is too loose, you can encounter rudder flutter at the higher speeds. This is unnerving,

Oh, that makes sense: I did have weight on the tailwheel. And the build instructions do show springs wrapped around.
Thanks!

Re: How Much Cable Play between Rudder and Tailwheel in Q2?
Is thy that with the tail wheel off of the ground? The tail spring flex will perhaps make it tighter when the load is off. You can take the slack off the cable by putting a couple of springs from

Re: Old Video - Subaru Q2
Of course it matters. I do think we have better "alternative" development happening now than ever before. But I think they has more to do with advances in engine management technology than some magic

I believe the LS1 showed up around 1982 if my memory is correct.

Re: Hobbs Wiring
I've seen it done both ways. Mine is wired through an oil pressure switch. When the engine is running, so is the Hobbs.

Hobbs Wiring
My Hobbs meter isn’t moving. Does Hobbs connect up with oil pressure or straight to the master bus?

How Much Cable Play between Rudder and Tailwheel in Q2?
I have about a half inch of play in relationship to my tail wheel. This is still pre-Six pack, so cable comes from wheel to rudder. I haven't figured out where in the plans this number might be,

Re: Facet Fuel Pump
Thanks for the video. My Faucet solid state (currently $39 on Aircraft Spruce) is much quieter than both those examples In your video. Which is good because I thought mine was loud before

Facet Fuel Pump
As reported earlier my 20 year old Facet Fuel pump failed last week. These things now go for $70 (auto parts store) but the BraveX (knockoff?) sells for $20. I've got one flight in with the BraveX

Yes indeed, that is a radiator. Here's a photo of the ducting for it that was in the tailcone.
Now that I'm looking at this stuff again, I'm starting to understand why people looked at me kinda

I forgot to ask: Is that the radiator, P-51 style, hanging from the belly, behind the pilot?

Thanks Dave!! I'm planning on FOD again this year and hope to hear about your latest paddling exploits!! My governor told me that it is unsafe for me to be out in my kayak so I'm suffering a bit, but

Thanks Joe! Wing root is another place for improvement. Both wing and canard to fuselage intersections are tough due to the diverging angles. I think it was Bob Farnum that took some interesting

Great video! Really handy to know that my high speed taxis are not much different from another.
The ribbon hanging videos are interesting: Both areas with bad aerodynamics areas (wheel pants and base
