Re: ISO TriQ nose gear
Okay.
Enough people have had their say. Paul and I are even getting emails off-line. So here's the scoop. This forum isn't Facebook, so we'll play nice here , right? If you have something to settle

Corbin you can always drive up to Enid and join us if you like. You might pick up a few things to try on your Q from the group.

Looks like you have plenty of great advice! Not counting you out yet! Miracles happen and especially when time and effort are used. 😉

For what it's worth, Klaus recommends the top of the engine like you have them Jim (and me now) and then firewall second.

Mike, my 4 coils have resided on top of the engine since 2002. They’ve worked there without any problems. I replaced them last year just because of all the years and time on them.

According to Klaus, the 4cyl don't require cooling but I do have scat tubing pointed at them; just didn't have a hose clamp to mount it today. If the plate shows signs of wear then I will beef it

@Mike - Thanks for reminding me of that. I thought it was interesting in the install manual that the 4 cyl coils don't need any extra cooling. I thought I had heard it was a good idea to cool them

Re: Those with Light Speed Electronic Ignition...
Rick I did that too as I thought that would be the fail point but it wasn’t the spade to connector that failed, it was the crimp
to wire.

In my Velocity days we would drill a small hole though the connector and lug and safety wire it.

Re: Those with Light Speed Electronic Ignition...
Hey Corbin,
Pay special attention to those spade connectors you crimped onto the coil ends of the RG Cables from the Plasma 3’s. Check and pull on those connections to make sure all wires are tight.
