I built a 5-gal removable tank that is suspended below the wing. Attaches to fuselage on both sides. Gravity feeds to main tank. Jerry

Sam,
I live in Bartlesville, OK. Close to Vern and Bruce. I had the great pleasure of meeting Bruce recently. I had considered the axial stuff because it's separate sheets of unidirectional lightly

The light one is prefab from CDC. See pic of label. The dark one is made and cut per-plans. Penmanship’s never been my strong point.
The arc matches for both tanks. Just the height and lengths

Re: Increased fuel capacity
There is a larger main tank pre fab that was available. I have one if you want pics or dimensions.
It’s basically the same tank by shape just larger. I think it nets to about 20 gallons.

I just watched your epoxy wipe video give minutes ago. It was your fuel cap blog, combined with an earlier conversation with another owner that made me ask.

I’ve seen Sam’s removable tank and dream of a similar setup. My header is 5 gallons and my main is 15 gallons.

My header tank is 6.5, main tank 16.5 and the removable tank behind the pilot is 9 gallons. So, 32 total. Range is 800+ miles.

Increased fuel capacity
I'm curious if anyone has made modifications to their Q2s to increase fuel capacity. If so how did you go about it? How did it effect your CG?
Thanks, Ryan

One thing that I've never heard of anyone talking about is making sure the rotor is true. You have to clean up the wheel hub where the rotor bolts onto if you want smooth brakes. Bolt the wheel
