Re: Q2 Prototypes
I think Gary Legare that built the first Q2 also went on to build the Seahawker, that later with many mods, became the GlassGoose.

Re: looking for q-200 project/kit
I’ve got an engine and firewall forward package. Could be used on a Q200 fuselage or to convert a Q2 to a Q200.

The prototype was built up by hand by Gary Legare in Canada, as a sort of
joint venture with QAC in Mojave. Then there was the demonstrator protoype
that was built in Mojave, which I think was N81QA

Q2 Prototypes
Hi Group,
I am curious how there came to be 2 different Q2 prototypes, the boxy one and the beautifully sculptered one with the compound curves. Who designed each one?
Just curious from a historical

Re: Q1 Fuselage comes up
Hi Eugen,
Sorry for the late reply. For the canopy opening and closing mechanism, I used
1/4”Tx1”Wx12”L aluminum. I don’t really have any drawings. Just made it up as I went along.

Re: Q1 Fuselage comes up
I have not read if Charlie already answered.. so I will "blind" so to speak. The cross link of the resin in a wet layup do increase with time. Post curing might accelerate the linking a bit. Prepregs

Re: Q1 Fuselage comes up
There is no way to know that am aware of, but by this time all your resin is crossed linked as much as it ever will be. I'd not risk heating your surfaces. What is more important is for the surfaces

Re: Q1 Fuselage comes up
Working from memory, the heat-up rates that I saw recommended for postcuring epoxy were way lower, like 3°C/h. Probably this was for free-standing products; in mold postcuring can be done more

Dear Q-Community,
thanks for your hints and comments. Again, great to get that feedback from you guys!
To post cure the Resin that I use for the Q1 Project (MGS LR385/LH386) it’s already a oven
