Flight Report N3QP Clearwater FL
I got a 1 hour flight with my wife on Friday and did a 1.5 hour flight Saturday.
I was trying out a new video camera mount in a quest to produce smoother video but the test failed, so no video this

Bill
PS yes I'm that olde & have been around homebuilts that

I think you’re right Paul. Just don’t know which one named FOD.
Not much of a need to know I suppose. Lots of water under the bridge since then.

I was on the ramp in Enid just as Dave walked in (still a bit pale). He told me what happened and where, and since I am an Oky not 50 miles from Pawhuska I can vouch that Green Country of Eastern

Re: Emergency landing witnessed
911 is pretty much useless out here in the sticks of Oklahoma. 121.5 IS effective! One pilot reporting on another in distress gets ATC attention in a hurry.

If I had been in Dave’s shoes, having a friend hovering over would have been an answer to prayer. I’d know I’d have assistance without delay. Just to draw confidence from a friend…

Yes Paul, it was a helpless feeling. I was thinking 121.5 or 911 depending on the outcome. Fortunately, Dave made the airport.

Re: GPS Dimension
A single 10.5 landscape screen will just fit yop to bottom with decent edge distance. I have a cad drawing based on the one from the q-list archives. It fits inside the edges well although slightly
