Re: Watch “Dr. Steve’s first solo flight in his Q2 - 1989” on Vimeo
Way to go Jim. I watch Dr Steve's flight a couple times a year. I can feel what he is going through.
Some things he did wrong and some things right, but at least he did some

I guess I’ll bite.
Hi Robert, tell us about your mechanical and pilot background and where you are located. That will help us understand what to say.
Give me a call and I will be happy to explain

Re: Really so hard to land?
I have a tri-Q2, so I will let the Q2/Q200 guys on the list chime in for most everything else.
The common denominator between the Tri-Q2 and the Q2 is landing speed. You have to be comfortable

Are you looking to rescue a Quickie (single seat) or a Q2?

Looking for conversations with folks who are willing to share advice and pitfalls on a Q2 rescue project with me. I have built experimental planes before, I do panels, I do much of the handy work

Really so hard to land?
Rumor has it the Quickie Q2 is really hard to land and sometimes rumors are just that, rumors and not true. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I embark on this Quickie rescue mission ;-)
Thanks

Re: Slow E-Z poxy or alternative?
Vinylesters don’t like to stick to epoxies, that’s for sure, so I’ll offer another option. I have an all-aluminum Davis DA-2A that is the only one ever built with wing tanks. Alas the original

Sanjay, sorry for the delay in response as the last two weeks were eaten up by preps and attendance at Sun N Fun as Richard and I volunteer at the composite workshop all week and bring a lot of stuff

Todd went west. The KR2 does look the same, that might be a good option. Goof Off has Acetone in it as the main chemical, so it is
going to be a non starter. We used to use Aliphatic Naphtha on
