Re: Flight Report
Jay, that was inspirational, what a great tribute to Gerry.... and your video was stunningly clear. Thank you for sharing that with us.

I think the grey sealer is what is used to seal tanks in the Mooney wet wing. It is Pro Seal (PPG product):

Re: Fuel tank failure after one week of testing!!! 😤
Troy, I used Safety Poxy for my tanks. No leaks after 23 years. I just wetted out all the surfaces that came in contact with fuel. Then sanded the epoxy and re-coated for any pin holes. Lightly sanded

In my days with Velocity, the tanks (main tanks and header) were made with EZ poxy and further were coated with a fuel sealer, light grey in color, a two part product I can't remember the name.

Chris,
I wonder if the slight formula change by Aeropoxy made any difference, but this was years ago now. I think my best data point is the fact that the tech rep from PTM&W said no to all fuels. He

Troy------------ Did a bit more research on the Aeropoxy and lots of us have used it in our fuel tanks without problems. The Cozy guys have a few articles on building fuel tanks. Having said all

Re: Mike Dwyer update
Mike, - I just realised that I didnt include my $$ bid for the unit - you said “offers below” £1170 - how low do I need to go? Would a round $1100 do it?

Hey guys.
You haven't heard too much from me lately because a friend at the airport needed help restoring a Velocity aircraft and I've been busy ripping the instrument panel and all the wiring out of

Sorry Troy, meant to say "demise of Saf-T-Poxy", my mistake. I would have a good look at Mike Bergen's summary slides to choose your replacement, if you go that way. I think a sloshing compound it

Every time we go to Lowes or Home Depot, and since my wife is an avid gardener, we end up in that section...the ever helpful folks there ask if there is anything they can help us find and I tell them
