Perhaps in a few years there will be some interesting things to see in Truth
or Consequences, Mew Mexico at Sir Charles Bransen's (proposed) space port.
I bet you could get some of us California

Now that I am past 60 I can tell you that there are numerous bits of tribal
wisdom which were made up to give us comfort in our ignorance but which are

Just so you know,

Hi Earnest,
Rough River is really cool! When I lived in Nashville long ago, that's
where we went for the lunch on the weekends. Its actually a state run
park/lodge and usually just kept up

The Key words for Valentine is "out in the middle of nowhere". It would be hard to get to for those wanting to drive. Good vacation spot I've heard. It would be too far away for me to get things set

Spud,
I think the closer to the canter of the country we stay the better the
odds of getting planes from both coast.

Speaking of fly-ins, Copperstate is right around the corner.
www.Copperstate.org Casa Grande Municipal Airport has a tandem-wing
friendly runway that's 5200 x 100 ft.

Hawkeye,
Check out Valentine, NE. 4700' x 100' runway that is maybe 200 yards from town and lots of hotels and restaurants. Self service fuel and a quiet airport in the middle of nowhere.
