Re: new 4" wheels
There are a lot of bearing dimensional size choices that might allow you to
bore the existing cavity out to accommodate a bearing with a slightly larger
Outside Diameter - same Inside Diameter.

Re: Runways
I have only landed once on a grass strip with my TriQ200. It was 2500' long at about 1100'msl. It went very well! I was slowed down by about 1/2 the length on landing. I was in the air about 1/2

Re: Prop Choice
Wow, I wouldn't even consider operating on that length of grass.
First flights need 5000-7000 feet until you get better at landing.
Mike Q200 1000 hours. (best landing ever = 1600 feet)

Ralf,
You've just completed your Q2 congratulations! Now, to keep all you effort in one piece consider flying from another field than your 1800' grass strip. You may get off, but will not be able

My advice is to find a different field. Have you flown out of this field before? These planes are not good grass field birds.
Try Sterba props. http://www.greatplainsas.com/ed.html for info.

Looking for input on runway length and type. Can a Tri-Q200 operate out of a 4000 foot grass strip. Or is this plane only for hard surface.
Thanks Group

I tried to measure the difference a few years back. It's hard to measure such a small change but I put it somewhere between 1/2 and 1mph at 170mph.
