Re: Goin around!
Catalina (KAVX) runway surface conditions are not suitable for a Q. You
might want to make a water ditch at Avalon Bay, swim in to shore, and take the
bus to the airport.

Re: Goin around!
James,
My stall speed(if the airspeed indicator is correct)is 64-65 MPH.
Maybe your vortex generators would make my plane go backwards which
would make it even harder when trying to land.

There are now 4 out 4 Q's at Abbotsford with T-Tails and 3 are proven very well flying aircraft with better pitch stability than reflexor only Q's.
Thanks James

Jim and & heartily agree. If it ain't 100% right, go around.
Runways with a slope are especially treacherous for Q-2s & Q-200s. Especially
if the wind dictates a downhill landing, or an uphill

Re: The difficulty of high-lift devices for tandem wing aircraft (long)
David has this dead right on.
As to reducing the stall/ landing speed - you can get it down by 10 with my
VG's. 60 mph is the slowest I have been able to go.

Hello Jim,
If you use my VG's, they will slow your approach by 10 so you can land there
with no sweat.
Yes I have approved them for the LS-1 canard. Not needed for rain and bug
protection but nice

Thats it Sam! Why didn't I think of it? More flying, of course.
In 60+ moths of flying this plane (first flight August 2000) I've
put right at 700 hours on it. Thats probably 50% more than most

Barnaby Wainfan wrote an article for Kit Palnes in which he compared a single with a biplane and a triplane . The triplane allows unloading our canard (which would no longer be called a canard) which
