The best path for an answer is to do a weight and balance. Do you have
the new/upgraded nose gear? The earlier models were weak. I tend to

The Continental 0200 weighs 240lbs. An extra 50 lbs up front sounds like to much to me.

Just got a quote from a shop that does abrasive jet cutting for some Quickie
repro parts - the flat .063 4130 ones. It seems quite reasonable so I am
considering expanding the scale of the project

I have a Q1 with 1835 VW engine and do not have any engine offset, once
trimed for level flight I can take my hand off of the stick and turn
with rudder control. This is in calm winds

Please see my data on vortex generators. There is no stall. Approach speed
is 80 and touchdown is 70. If you do this, there is no need for the systems
you are designing.
