Sounds like you had a stuck ring! Rings can hang up in the piston grooves
and fail to make good scraping contact with the cylinder wall all about the

Old time A&P's can tell you which aircraft owners have been secretly using MMO in their certified aircraft by how well their engines are during maintenance. I add MMO to my fuel on every fill.

Nose wheel parts for tri-Q
Yesterday, while doing a fast taxi to check out new brakes, the nose

Q's heat rap
Cooling my O200 I have just put a totally new motor in my bird it is 9.5 to 1,
ported, racing cam, and comply polished. Any way I put heat rap on the pipes
and have lost 20 deg of oil, 10 off head

I have that AP tailspring. It doesn't! It is made of stainless steel, and
has NO give. I will have to be very easy on my touchdowns until I can get
one with some spring.
