Re: Seat Tank Fuel Gauge
I was thinking if you drain the tanks then hook a nitrogen tank to the fuel vent with the fuel filler off you could first dry out the fuel tanks and second keep a positive flow of nitrogen that would

Plane for sale
Listers,
This evening I went to look at a Q2 that is for sale.
The plane is located near Postville IA.
Some of the Spring Flingers will remember Keith Kerr.
He had a masive stroke in Feb and only

Re: Seat Tank Fuel Gauge
Oh man, so putting weights on didn’t compress them so I opened up the left one and cut down the foam 50%. I’m hoping after the “cut down” foam compresses then I can add back the rest. I left

Re: Seat Tank Fuel Gauge
I have the dial mechanical gauge, like Sam’s. I also have a capacitance gauge. The dial gauge will be difficult to install after the fact, without getting a lot of contamination (fiberglass and foam

Seat Tank Fuel Gauge
I see that Sam Hoskins has a dial gauge in his seat. Where does everyone else have their main tank fuel gauge?
Mine has a clear tube going up by the pilot's right leg (and not working).

Look in my photos section in the Q-list photos. I have several photos of the Coughlin brakes, plus a dimension sheet. The Coughlin brakes are an improvement over the LaRue, which were an improvement

Not familiar with the Coughlin Brake Mod but there is a Gall wheel alignment that most guys use. Sam Hoskins is the go to guy for split rudder/tail wheel cables and I think he has the alignment

Thanks! Before buying my kit I read all the QAC newsletters online. Luckily my kit came with hard copies of all the QAC newsletters and all the Q-Talks before they went digital.
The only glaring

Re: How Much Cable Play between Rudder and Tailwheel in Q2?
Here’s another cable option that allows for differential between rudder and tailwheel but Sam’s
set up is a lot easier to install especially on a finished airplane. Like he said, no destruction.

No destructions needed, this photo shows all. The turnbuckle cable goes to the rudder bellcrank.

Sam:
Do you have instructions/drawings/parts list for your cable splitter in the files section somewhere, or on your blog? Might be an easier retrofit on a completed bird.

Re: Facet Fuel Pump
Yes, the old pump was repaired. But it's so old that I'm only going to use it in the airplane now.
