Re: Gall wheel alignment
You have to look thru the axle. Estimate where to cut the new hole. Fill the old hole with flox and wood. Cut the new hole. Be cautious of the tire hitting inside the wheel pant after the move.

The key thing is to have your standard flying weight loaded into the plane. Then roll it a bit so the wheels splay out. Hopefully you can look through the axle hole and pretty much see

Re: Conditional inspections and checkouts
I think this is what you are looking for:
You don't need a "sign-off". You just need a tailwheel endorsement. Transition training would be great though. Some would say mandatory.

As for my second question….how can I get instruction and a sign off in the D-fly in New England? On another thread I heard two names mentioned but can’t find the thread anymore. Thanks

Checked the N number. It’s still active but wasn’t renewed last October. Has a purge date of 2026. Contacted the owner to ask about reregistering it. Thanks!!

Fredd, come on up to Orange and take a look at two Q2s.
Both are apart now with lots of good visibility into everything.
In the last substantive exchange with Rick he said he wanted to take some time

It's critical for you to know the tail number and find out from the FSDO if the plane has an airworthiness that can be activated again.

This is all great info, especially the peach tree. I’ll have to figure out how to get some liability coverage so I can take it to the airport for engine run, inspection, and phase 1. Only tie downs
