Yes, it performed great on the way home as well as 5-6 flights afterwards. We noticed the issue after doing some high speed taxi work so we initially thought we sucked something up into the air

This questions is largely a function of prop pitch, your numbers sound exactly like mine. My egt’s run about 180f rich of peak at full throttle coming off sea level and I’m around 2400 rpm. If

Is this Mark Summers (Martin Skilby’s) airplane? Does it gave a funny looking weight on the tail? If so, we call that an RV Lure. I was the chase plane for his first flight. It was a very nice

Did the plane perform ok on your trip home with it from California? Have you changed the fuel filter, cleaned the screen.

Re: Typical RPM on Static Ground Test?
You might want to try a 60/66 prop. That may allow you to produce more hp. I ran a 60/66 Warner on my stock 0200 and loved it. Good climb and speed. Just got to manage the top end rpm. I could turn

Make sure you do not have the little glass hot rod fuel filters.

I think you should see more than 2500rpm as max.

T.O.roll - 2350-2400rpm. Maybe you have too much prop pitch. Jerry

I run a 60/72 Catto prop on a pumped up 0200 with 9.4:1 pistons and fly regularly out of a 1500’ ELE. Airport KAUN 3,100’ L. and KLVK Airport 400’ ELE. My down the runway rpm is like Paul’ @

Re: Typical RPM on Static Ground Test?
Thank you. I forgot to include that we cleaned the fuel injectors in an ultrasonic cleaner. So we should be good there. Sam H. and I have chatted a bit about this.

I would suggest checking or replacing the injectors. Reason: small particles (small enough to fit through most fuel filters) are the size candidate to lodge in the injector nozzles. System will think

The builder/previous owner seems to recall that the RPM's I am seeing are fairly close to what should be expected. I am starting to wonder if the "sluggish" feeling was just in my head. If many

Re: Typical RPM on Static Ground Test?
Thank you! This is good news since I was developing 2400 rpm on the last takeoff at 1,300ft msl. I was worried I should be developing closer to 2,600 rpm on takeoff. Maybe some others will reply

Re: Typical RPM on Static Ground Test?
c_geiser,
My Q-200 typically shows 2350 RPM on takeoff at 753MSL. I have a standard compression carbureted O-200. Maximum cruise is about 2650 RPM. Perhaps you just have a little too much pitch in

Typical RPM on Static Ground Test?
Hey everyone,
I am a new owner of a Quickie Q2/Q200 hybrid of sorts. It has a fuel injected O-200 and I am unsure if it is developing full RPM on takeoff. On the last takeoff, I got 2,400 RPM and

Re: ADS-B options
We ended up at 30" and it works fine, we did not actually experiment to find the failure point.
Nice, glad to hear you found the vette. Seems like there are scammers everywhere these days.

Re: ADS-B options
Paul,
How close did you find you could put the antennas together before the ADSB failed?
PS. I did finally get the matching number 64’ vette. It’s beautiful.

The biggest issue we had with the installation in the Rans S6 was getting proper spacing of the antenna from others antennas. We mounted the Echo right on top of the Sandia xponder. My plan for the Q
