Re: Axle Removal Problems
I currently have the keeper bolt with washer as well; to keep the axle in place. I went by a machine shop today and he said my axle is a high quality alloy.
For fun, here’s a pick of my pusher rod

Re: Axle Removal Problems
Maybe a thick wall 4130 steel would do the trick. You might need to get a smaller inside “keeper bolt” with thick washers. I did this to my Q when it was still a tail stagger. The keeper bolt

Re: Q2 Revmaster original exhaust?
I just replaced a home built 4-pipe system on my O-320 T-18 with the “new” Vetterman small pipe RV-6 exhaust and I couldn’t build it myself for that price. There’s all that cutting and fitting

If you can manage fabrication then go for it, but $800.00 is fair and it will be new and to Revmaster specification. I recently paid over $1000.00 for a Vetterman exhaust system for an experimental

Re: Axle Removal Problems
Glad you got the assembly off
Now you can beat on it on the bench and not wreck the wheel mount.
The idea of banging on that still inside the wheel pant gave me the heebeegeebees
Cheers

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!. It occurs to me that the issue may have been that the axle was slightly bent, maybe from a hard landing or other torque, so cutting it off was

Hi Jon,
Thought I'd chime in a little.
Very nice video. The wife let me hook up to our big screen TV so I could see the quality of the video. WOW!
She enjoyed it too and wondered who would fly that
