That is great to hear Bruce,
thank you for putting us at ease with that.

Pat

Dave, Susie, and I, and my family have shared the fact that Jesus loves
us on many occasions. It is true that to be absent from the body is to
be present with the Lord. Dave is feeling no pain, want or resentment
in Heaven. We are left to remember Dave and miss him. Dave was so
joyful and I know that he is filled with that joy in Heaven! So in the
midst of our sorrow I am encouraged that these momentary afflictions
will some day be changed to joy when we see the Savior face to face.
At this point Dave is the one with the easy job! We are the ones left
wanting.
Miss you Dave
Bless you Susie

Love Bruce, Joanne and Jonathan Crain

I am saddened. Dave was a great friend to all. May our prayers and
Gods grace be with Susie, so that she may have peace.
Dave was always the first to offer congratulations and help.
I will miss him a lot. God bless his soul.

Everyone should reread the Featured Pilot article in Issue 110. The

Such sad, sad news. Dave and Susie always added the "family touch" to our events. I believe we were all glad to see a wife support her husband and his dreams.
Dave will be truly missed in the Q community. My heart goes out to Susie and family.

I talked to Susie a little this afternoon. She has that same mix of
feelings that we all go through when we lose a loved one. It is a
sad, sad day. Dave was a great guy, a terrific assett to our little
Quickie family, and a great friend.

I just heard from Tom Moore a few minutes ago about Dave, and that
is truly very sad news. I really feel for Suzie and Terri for the
loss of two truly special people in our lives and theirs. Dave and I
have been emailing a lot this last week so the shock is all that
much more!

That is absolutely UV damage. I would scrap the plane as you don't know how much delamination/damage was done to the underlying foam. Your life is worth more than it would cost to build new parts.

Although I only met Dave and Susie at the Sullivan Fly-In two years ago I
was extremely impressed with the very active role both assumed in the
organization. It is difficult to comprehend how someone so energetic and
with so much still to contribute and still relatively young could be
stricken like this. I am deeply shocked and would like to pass on my sincere
sympathy to Susie.

Doug,

I am very sad.

Dave came to Cleveland and offered his counsel on the construction of my Q. I found his advice reasoned and abundantly helpful. I always read his articles in Q-Talk with interest. I was looking forward to his assistance in mentoring the test phase of my Q. I visited Dave and Susie on two other occasions. Both visits were warm, supportive and encouraging to my wife and I. I will really miss Dave. My heart goes out to Susie for her loss.

If the pre-molded parts have been in the sun they will deteriorate.
I've seen sun baked parts wit the resin gone entirely. Fiberglass
cloth must be clean (roll of and discard dirty cloth), and must not
have been water-soaked at any time.

You can download the plans. The large paper template prints will be
helpful but often can be found from other builders nearby.
