Re: Oshkosh
Matthew Curcio
Thanks for the update Keith. I’m passing through Nebraska now. Thinking I’ll end up in fond for the night and try and get in tomorrow. Hopefully things start drying up. Please keep me posted if there is anywhere to get a quickie in prior to grass opening!

Re: Look see
Mike: I have two Q-200s (N84RC and N200AL) and a decommissioned Tri-Q in El Cajon KSEE and a Q2 (not yet finished or flown) that you can take a look at it is currently strung up high in the hangar. This would give you a pretty good first look at what these planes are like. Contact me off list if you might want a closer look.

When a Q is upside down the canopy will fully be on the ground probably with the glass broken and your head split as well. More than likely the tail will break off just a head of the vertical from the force. With an axe you might be able to bust open a big enough hole to get out if you have managed to escape a head injury. The RV guys were carrying a battery powered saw but some finally realized that if you have a fuel spill you will be the ignition source as soon as you pull the trigger. This will always be a disadvantage to a plane with a canopy. Sorry for the bluntness but I have come to realize Gods will is Gods will and he just isn't ready for me yet.

I'm in Colorado Springs. Still restoring mine but the cockpit is complete and accessible. You're welcome anytime. Can even put you up for a night or two if you need to make it with the trip. /Ryan

Re: New topic
Hi Jim,
Just approximating performance of your plane based on my modelling, I provide the attached chart.
It shows alpha (AOA) on the left side of the graph, and elevator deflection across the bottom. The dark green line is the performance track of your aircraft (or something close, anyway). The black contour lines are the CAS required for level flight. By reducing the alpha with the new wheels, the TO speed needs to go up a little bit, so that may be what you are feeling/noticing. Remember, my estimate is worth what you paid for it.
Cheers, Jay
