Doesn’t look good for the next 15 days either.
The good news? The hanger rent is due!!!
All of you that are flying, take some video so we frozen can fly too!!!

Goal for this year is 50+ hours flying time!

Jay,

Good job you kept it in the hanger, otherwise your first problem would be finding where you parked it !!

Happy New year to you all.

Happy New Year! Kevin,

We had 23 degrees this morning and clear sky’s. After a few phone calls, we found Hollister (near Monterey, CA) was open and serving breakfast. I took off first in the Mighty Luscombe followed by a Pacer, then a Piper 180 and an RV-6. We had an 18 knot tail wind at 4,500’ that resulted in a fast ride to cover the 84 nm flight. Coming home was much slower but provided time to take in the view of the snow covered Sierra Mountains. Lake Tahoe received 196” of snow in December and it is quite a sight.

Subject: [Q-List] FOD 22

I have been procrastinating, for no other reason than that’s what I do.

FOD 22 will be at KDEH. 15,16,17,18 Sept 22.
Where would we be without acronyms?

Details for lodging etc to come later.

Thought about going too Beatrice again. Called the AP manager, she has no place to store planes in case of storms.
She was very welcoming, but has rented out their big hanger.

We have, at DEH, enough room to get everyone inside. If we talk nice, probably for free. 11-29 Rwy 4000’.

The alternate for an unmanageable cross wind will be Scott Field, 20 miles south 4150’ 17-35.
There is a huge hanger there, that I think I can talk the Mayor into letting us use in case of bad weather, as well.

So mark your calendars. make plans, carve a notch in your stick, take a photo of this email, kiss your wife goodby, adios your friends, pack up the babies and grab the old ladies (Neil Diamond), and shag your ass to Decorah.

This invite includes you Mike Dwyer, and all the Dragonfly folks. Sky Dog, please forward to the DF list. Thanks.

So. There you have it. If I don’t see you before then, I WILL see you then!

Happy New Year!

I'm with you Kevin.  We're a little warmer here but it has been snowing all morning with 6-8 inches expected by tonight. Then we get howling winds, so drifting and wind-chill in the -20 range.  So as you said, it doesn't look good for the next couple of weeks!.

But I'm all for flying more in 2022!!  Happy New Year to everyone.

Paul
