It's with great excitement that I would like to announce we have a new Quickie Builders Association web site. It has a new look and a few new features, including a Members Only area where you can go see color photos from the Q-Talk Newsletters. Of course you need to be a current subscriber to Q-Talk to be able to login.

It is at the same address as before: http://quickiebuilders.org/ . Our goal was to make it easier to navigate and to put information that is useful to all those interested in building and flying a Q bird at their finger tips. The Resources page is where you will find essential information for the builder such as Quickie plans. On the Links page you will find links to other builders' web sites, some favorite sites, and the For Sale page (under Items For Sale). Some of the buttons take you to pages that were not changed from the old site as we saw no need to do so.

If you thought Dave Richardson was doing nothing with his spare time since relinquishing the helm, think again! I could not have done this with out his help. A big thanks go out to him. Jon Finley also contributed some of his time to make this happen.

As with anything new, the developers think the web site is ready for your viewing. If you find anything that doesn't work or doesn't do what you think it ought to do, please email Dave. ops, I mean me at qtalk@.... (More than likely, I'll be emailing Dave for help).

I hope you like it. Let me know if you have ideas or information you would like to see on the web site.

Congratulations Doug. That is neat and I have long wanted to see a Q-resources file which can be made more and more valuable as selected files are added over time. Right now I am looking at performance and the numbers are there to see.

Doug,
I read the newsletter from cover to cover. Very Impressive. The new web site looks great. I was unable to log in to the members only page. It seems you security system is working. I will try again in three days.

Thanks for your comments. I haven't really had many comments at all on either the newsletter or the web site. Glad you liked it. Dave Richardson was a tough act to follow.

You should be able to login now Joseph, as I have allowed you access. Please try again and let me know if it works or not. Be sure that when you go to the login page it doesn't say you are already logged in. If it does, log out and try again. Please let me know either way. Thanks!

Hi Doug,
I will certainly chime in. I looked over all the pages on the website and
I think you did a great job on the upgrade. It is very professional and
highly usable. Thanks for your efforts. As soon as I get around to
updating my ancient Q-talk subscription, I will check out the member
pages. That is on my to-do list...still working my way down that list.

Congratulations Doug on a job well done. I am particularly pleased to see the online version being a subscriber from outside the U.S. I think it levels the playing field so-to-speak for subscribers all around the world. I am confident that QBA subscribers being the kind of people they are will act responsibly and not abuse this format so that it may continue. It seems like such a small price to pay for the wealth of information that is available through this association.
I sent my subscription renewal in Jan. 21st, but I too was not able to log in to the new QBA site. Maybe you could check it out when you get a chance. Don't bother sending the refund since I am opting for the online version; put it to a good cause :-) Many thanks for the time and effort you have put into it.
