Rich,
Primer on...sand primer off, primer on...sand primer off,  primer on....sand primer off...then maybe paint.
Pretty simple....don't ya know!!
Not exactly kidding.  As many know one can never over do sanding on glass airplanes.

There are many good waxes out there but I've always used one called Nu-Finish.
If I remember correctly, it was one of the early polymer once a year car waxes.
Started using it on farm equipment in the "70's" when it came out.  It beat everything at the time...never stopped using it.
for anyone with nothin to do...
In the March 1998 issue of Sport Aviation page 109 is a photo of one of our tractors that wax was used on.
Thanks for askin

What wheels and tires are you using on that Q1? They look narrower than mine. I'm thinking of switching to the skinny Azusa 8-inch wheels. By the way, my Q1 is about to become a diesel(!)

Hi Robert,
Sorry, just now seeing your msg.
Wow...a diesel.  It wouldn't happen to be the Quickie made of kevlar of which there had been photos of a while back?
I'm using the wheels that came with the kit which were the 5" fiber 2 piece rims.
I will be at the hangar today and will get the tire size for you.
I originally had the large tire option but as I mentioned in the video the tires rubbed.
Learned that after the wheel pants had been mounted that QAC recommended the large tire option wheel pants be made 1/4" wider for clearance I believe.
Of course mine rubbed so rather than cut the pants off I first looked to see if a narrower tire was available for that rim.  And of course there was.
Thanks for asking
