I feel terrible and would love to be there but am committed to our towns Autumn Fest that weekend. Who knows if the wx is REALLY good that weekend maybe the wife will feel bad enough to let me go but I doubt it. Have a good weekend everyone.
Keith Already got my room at the Super8 a while back as well, can't wait to see everyone again! And i'm prepping my plane too, i want it look (and fly!) nice!

Every time we go to Lowes or Home Depot, and since my wife is an avid gardener, we end up in that section...the ever helpful folks there ask if there is anything they can help us find and I tell them "YES!! I am looking for the Money trees that grow $100's."
They never seem to stock those, but they sure take the 100's at the register really fast. Kinda like aircraft material supply companies! Poof!

When your still building a home, even a modest one like I am, them ultra rare money trees are always top in the list. Airplanes are on another level yet! Its a curse we have, this need to be aviating around. Me thinks boat owners have it easy compared to aircraft
pilots.
Status.. Frankenbird is still waiting patiently for the hangar to be completed. Along with the cottage build, we are adding a solid fence from used steel oil drilling tube and white D panel on the North, along 320 feet of property line. I am doing the tube
cutting and welding.
We have a perpetually unemployed rental neighbor that likes to keep tabs (logbooks?) on Vern's activities..and at that rental from time to time over the last 4 years lots of fast unloading later in the evenings and later still many different visitors appear
and depart. Lots of short term friends, 20 minutes or so. We visited with the landlord (tax records are wonderful about learning who is actually owner) and he told us "mom" rented the place and "son" moved in a short time later. They pay the rent on time.
Never miss..even during Covid.
After some time of this, my astute wife being aware of the costs of various items we own, thought it might be a good idea to reduce the visibility to our property. I explained that being the old geezer that I am I have seen this before, and just guessing that
one day the visitors at the rental property will have lots of blue and red flashing lights on top of the vehicles. On that day I just hope our hard working and industrious naybor doesn't become instantly stupid and try using the gun that he shoots at his dogs
when he gets drunk. More than once the bullets have bounced off course.
Ahhh....the pleasures of country living in Rural USA.
Jerry..maybe we aught get one of the cardboard signs at the hiway exit ramps and write on it "give dollarz, I need to fly my airplane again!"
