Tempest Spin On Adaptor

Has anyone fitted a temp sensor to the 0200 Tempest Spin on filter assembly.
Is there a blanking plug that can be readily replaced with one?

You can’t stop the flow going through the adapter.  There will be no oil going through the gallies if you do.

I realise that Bruce, I am thinking more of modifying the threaded core plug to accept an LM 335 sensor, so no disruption to the flow characteristics. There is also a little Westach oil sender that would fit the bill, just curious if anyone has been there and done it already.

Sounds like a great idea!  Then  you can check the panel mount oil temp and compare it to the Westach.  Just a side note the Westach may or may not be a terribly reliable instrument.  They are built cheap so guys will buy them.  At least that's what I hear around the airport.
