Great presentation Terry,
Sorry I was unable to watch the show.  I was on an unexpected flight to Philly at the time to ferry a semi home.
And Thanks for showing the Lindy, in case anyone is interested it DID take alot of arm twisting...I think about 10 minutes worth.
Terry's a pretty humble guy when it comes to things like that.

It's kind of interesting to note that when Terry flew my Quickie it was at a flyin we had at Mattoon, IL
He left the area!  So much so that the engine could no longer be heard.  After a while we began to worry...especially me...that something had happened.
All I could think about was, surely he didn't tear up my airplane?  But low and behold we began to hear that familiar pop pop in the distance.

I found it interesting his commentary about the differences in the two canards.  He may be the only Q1 builder who has actually flown both.
And yes to anyone who has not seen his airplane....you are in for a treat.  His is a very innovative Quickie.

Lookin forward to seeing the Cozy.

Great intro to your beautiful, still new looking, Q, Terry!  Thanks for relenting to Sam’s pressure to do this. I may have an alternative engine option for you, and no, no one has heard of this one or mentioned it to you, guaranteed. Contact me offline and I will bring you up to speed. (no pun intended). Hope to see you in Enid.

Cheers,

Jay

Hey Terry,

Nice seeing your smiling’ face. I didn’t do the Zoom but did watch it on You Tube. Your airplane is still looking pristine. Cruise on my friend!

The video was great to watch. Really helps the juices flow for me. Lots of memories. Thanks for all involved, but especially Terry.

I looked it up. It was June 13, 1987, 96 Deg F, when you flew the C-150 up here for our little gathering. Flying with you and Dean in his Quickie was certainly one of those highlights as it was early in my flying. You have so far exceeding making the best use of the Quickie design and all of your improvements. If I could remember 10% of what you have taught me over the years I would be far ahead.

Is the orange cylinder under the front fuselage cover your fuel reserve tank?

1000+ hours, fantastic!!
Keep the blue side up.
Charlie

Thanks Charlie,

Nice of you to host that fly in. That was a very memorable day for me also. Probably the first time I had seen a Quickie fly other than OSH.

The orange cylinder is the reservoir for the variometer, on occasion I can get double or triple the normal climb rate if the thermals are strong. If you aren't a glider pilot this might not make any sense. The aux tank goes behind the seat.

The thermos bottle variometer took me to 15k in my Ez-Riser in 1979 over Big Bear,Ca. Bic pens and styrofoam balls.
